After two weeks of late mornings, warm pajamas, and holiday treats, going back to school can be a shock. The days suddenly start at five in the morning, are jam-packed with assignments, and the cold days no longer hold the anticipation for Christmas Day. While the first week back may never be an enjoyable experience, a few simple habits can make the transition a little bit easier.

One of the easiest ways to make the transition back to school less challenging is to follow a routine. Small things like going to bed earlier, packing your backpack and lunch the night before, and making a schedule at the beginning of the week can help reduce stress. Remember, when making changes to your routine, start small; otherwise, you'll set yourself up for failure.
