Phelps Health is pleased to offer free drive-through antibody testing in addition to testing individuals for COVID-19 this Saturday, June 20, in Salem.
Both types of testing will be available to residents in Dent County and surrounding areas June 20 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Phelps Health Medical Group-Salem clinic located at 1415 West Scenic Rivers Boulevard in Salem.
Phelps Health will test individuals to see if they currently have COVID-19. This type of test involves a swab to take a sample from inside the nose.
Additionally, SARS-CoV-2 serology antibody testing, which involves taking a blood sample from a person and identifies possible past infection with the COVID-19 virus, will be available for ages 12 and up.
Having symptoms of COVID-19 is not required for people interested in being tested. Individuals who have previously been tested for COVID-19 can sign up to receive antibody testing.
