Almost four months ago Salem Publishing Company, publisher of Phelps County Focus and The Salem News, created special, unlimited access websites to keep residents of Phelps and Dent counties informed about COVID-19. We are shuttering those sites effective today, but will continue to place important COVID-19 updates in print weekly and daily on phelpscountyfocus.com and thesalemnewsonline.com.
Since we created the COVID-19 web pages in late March, our two websites had 1.32 million page views through July 9, many of those people seeking information on COVID-19 and its impact. The daily average has been 11,768 page views.
