If you’ve longed to order a to-go specialty coffee in Salem, you quickly realized you were out of luck. But starting in early January, community members will be able to enjoy a real, Missouri-sourced coffee experience in town.

One day almost a year ago Ashlyn Jordan and her husband Heston decided to transition from traditional careers, spend more time together and build a legacy for their family by converting their personal trailer into a fully-functioning coffee shop.

“We’ve always loved being able to serve the community and meet new people. We think this is a great way to provide Salem with something that doesn’t exist right now,” said Ashlyn.

Not only will they start with eight carefully designed drink options named after roads in the community, but their menu will also include baked goods and lotus energy infusions, which are plant-based alternatives to energy drinks. Different flavor syrups will be used to host an array of non-coffee options.

But they also want you to know that you shouldn’t be deterred from trying their coffee even if you haven’t liked it before. They get their beans from Park Avenue Coffee in St. Louis, and the product is air roasted rather than drum roasted, so you might just find that this different flavor profile works for you.

Milkshakes and teas are also on the menu and they look forward to serving everyone in Salem, from the coffee connoisseur to the person who prefers black drip brewed coffee. With rigorous training and hours of taste testing, the Jordans are confident you’ll find something you love.

During the cold winter months, you can stay in your car with their drive-thru service by pulling around the trailer, but once spring comes you can expect a traditional walk-up experience. They’ll be set up in the gravel lot across from Walmart and next to Jadwin & Smith Auto Body from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday
