Five Salem residents will face felony charges following a drug bust Thursday at a residence in the 400 block of East Ninth Street, according to court documents.
Deputies with the Dent County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant for the home, locating three suspects as well as evidence implicating two others.
• Jeffrey A. Dallas, 19, was located in the home’s living room. A search of Dallas’s person found a small bag of marijuana hidden in his left sock, according to the probable cause statement. A vehicle driven to the house by Dallas was also searched. Inside the vehicle deputies found four tablets of hydrocodone.
• Julie L. Henson, 26, was located in one of the home’s bedrooms. Henson’s purse was searched, inside of which was located a pencil holder containing a syringe, heroin capsules, Suboxone film and a spoon which contained residue which field-tested positive for heroin, according to the court documents. Henson was unable to supply a prescription for Suboxone to authorities.
• Matthew K. Schwartz, 17, was also located in the home and found to have an Alprazolam tablet in his left sock and unable to provide a prescription.
• An upstairs bedroom known to be occupied by Matthew F. Schwartz, 35, and Amber Harrison, 29, was also searched. Fourteen heroin capsules were found under the room’s bed, according to the report. The report states the evidence was within 10 feet of a five-year-old child residing in the home. The upstairs bedroom also allegedly contained marijuana paraphernalia.
Dallas, Henson and Matthew K. Schwartz were taken into custody at the scene.
Dallas is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (prescription narcotics) and is being held on a $7,000 cash only bond.
Henson is charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance (heroin) and is being held on a $15,000 cash only bond.
Matthew K. Schwartz is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (prescription narcotics) and is being held on a $10,000 cash only bond.
Harrison and Matthew F. Schwartz were arrested Friday night. Matthew F. Schwartz is the father of Matthew K. Schwartz, according to the sheriff’s office.
Harrison is charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (heroin), felony child endangerment and felony maintaining a public nuisance. Her bond has been set at $75,000 cash only.
Matthew F. Schwartz is also charged with felony possession of a controlled substance (heroin), felony child endangerment and felony maintaining a public nuisance. His bond has been set at $75,000 cash only.
