This year’s Dent County Extension FFA Alumni Labor and Dessert Auction hosted at Smith Valley Angus on April 16 pulled in a record-breaking $13,805, according to organizers. FFA was pleased with this year’s turnout. Dent County commissioners Darrell Skiles (presiding), Wes Mobray (District One) and Gary Larson (District Two) donated meat and their time grilling for the event. FFA Alumni were left with the option to donate a dessert or their labor to be auctioned off at the event by auctioneer Brady Hagler. All of the money made from the event will be put toward scholarships for graduating seniors in FFA.
