Salem competed at the Willow Springs Invitational, at the St. James Invitational, and home for the SCA tournament on Monday. The girls’ track results were not available, but the results of the other two meets are as follows:
St. James Invitational
Salem competed in the St. James Invitational Wednesday. The Lady Tigers placed sixth with 71.5 points. St. James took first with 177.5 points. Eight teams competed in the event.
The individual results for Lady Tigers finishing in the top three places at the meet are as follows:
• Savannah Hanning placed second in the pole vault with a vault of nine feet.
• Hanning placed second in the 200 meters with a time of 28.03 seconds.
• Hanning placed first in the discus with a throw of 85 feet eight inches.
• Hanning placed third in the long jump with a jump of 15-01
Willow Springs Invitational
Salem competed in the Willow Springs Invitational April 27.
The individual results for Lady Tigers finishing in the top three places at the meet are as follows:
• Kirsten Strebe placed third in the 100 meters with a time of 13.75 seconds.
• Savannah Hanning placed third in the 200 meters with a time of 29.65 seconds.
• Hanning placed third in the discus with a throw of 90 feet six inches.
• Kara Powell placed second in the high jump with a jump of 4-2.
• Hanning placed first in the pole vault with a vault of 9-6.
• Hanning placed first in the long jump with a leap of 14-5.75. Trista Heavin placed third with a leap of 12-8.25.
