Private family funeral service for Artie Mae (Harvey) Schafer was May 6, 2025 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Pastor Chris Hendrix officiating.
Interment was in the North Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jeff Schafer, Brad Schafer, Sheldon Warden, Canyon Warden, Daniel Smith, Zach Auberry, Briggs Smith, and Joseph Perjak.
Mrs. Schafer was born June 7, 1944 in Olympia, Washington, to Arthur and Virginia (Janke) Harvey. She married Jerry Schafer April 29, 1964. They were the parents of three children. Mrs. Schafer died May 4, 2025 in Salem at the age of 80 years.
Survivors include her children, Jeff Schafer and wife, Cathy, Columbia; Brad Schafer and wife, Tricia, Lebanon; and Kim Warden and husband, Sheldon, Salem; grandchildren, Lauren Schafer; Ashley Schafer; Paige Auberry and husband, Zach; Chandler Smith and husband, Daniel; Reggie Parks; Canyon Warden; and Breanna Warden; great-grandchildren, Briggs, Styles, Harvie, Leah, Zoey, and Mason; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband and parents.
