Gary Lee Fiebelman of Salem, Missouri passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at the age of 78 years.
Gary was born on November 28, 1945 to the late Lawrence and Cynthia (Warfel) Fiebelman. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart Barbara Ann Phillips on August 21, 1964. This union was blessed with two daughters, Laura and Victoria.
Gary and Barbara lived in St. Louis for a short time but moved back to Salem upon the passing of his father in 1965. Eventually, he purchased a farm north of Salem and started one of Missouri’s first catfish farms, known by the name Fiebelman Fisheries. Gary and his brother Ken Fiebelman ran the family farm on Dry Valley, as well as a farm on Huzzah Creek where they were raised.
Gary loved farming, traveling, being outdoors, camping, boating, and barbequing for family and friends. Gary lived a very full life. He was proud of his daughters, and especially proud of his grandchildren, who he loved spending time with.
We bid farewell as we mourn the loss of a great father, grandfather, and friend to many. He will be missed dearly and will never be forgotten by all those that loved him. In addition to Barbara Ann Fiebelman, Gary is survived by his daughters, Laura Fiebelman Parker, of Salem, Missouri, and Victoria LeeAnn Lowe and husband, David, of Dixon, Missouri; grandchildren, Lauren Ashley Spicer, Braxton Kyle Parker and wife, Sarah Heitman Parker, Jacob Kennison Parker, and Slayton Stone Parker; great-grandson, Jacob Lee Fiebelman; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Cynthia Fiebelman, and brother, Kenneth Fiebelman.
