Funeral service for Shirley Louise (Inman) Morton was November 20, 2021 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Pastor Larry Nash officiating.
Music was provided by her great-grandchildren and recorded selections.
Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Trey Porter, Trevor Porter, Zach Henry, Doug Porter, Ryan Henry and Kyle Fulks. Honorary pallbearers were Kaiden Fulks, Everett Fulks and Grayson Fulks.
Mrs. Morton was born November 24, 1933 in Salem to Donald Edward and Mary Elizabeth (Fox) Inman. She married Bob Morton November 12, 1954. They were the parents of one son. Mrs. Morton died November 15, 2021 in High Point at the age of 87 years.
Survivors include her son, Jim Morton, High Point; granddaughters, Mandy Henry and husband, Ryan, Jefferson City; Melanie Porter and husband, Doug, High Point; and Marie Raychel Fulks and husband, Kyle, High Point; great-grandchildren, Trey Porter, Trevor Porter, Paige Henry, Tristan Porter, Trishelle Porter, Zach Henry, Alyssa Henry, Treagan Porter, Trynleigh Porter, Kaiden Fulks, Everett Fulks and Grayson Fulks; siblings, Perry Inman and wife, Verna Lou, Salem; Virginia Wisdom and husband, Vardell, Boss; Sharon Bergner and husband, David, Salem; and Judy Parker, Salem; ex-daughter-in-law, Jan Morton; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Bob Morton; parents, Donald “Bus” and Mary Elizabeth “Lizzie” Inman; brothers, Leonard, Junior and Larry Inman.
