Funeral service for Geraldine Lay, of Granite City, Illinois, was November 1, 2021 at Lifepoint Church, Collinsville, Illinois. Arrangements were under the direction of Irwin Chapel, Granite City.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. November 2, 2021 in the Boss Cemetery.
Ms. Lay was born October 23, 1953 in Sullivan. She died October 27, 2021 in St. Louis at the age of 68 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Christina Zumwalt and Christopher Rowden, Fair Grove; Tonya and Darren Reynolds, Belle; and Angel and Brian Carr, Granite City; siblings, Joyce Boyd, Belle; and Jack and Rowena Reeves, Rolla; grandchildren, John, Alex, Logan, Mikel, Cooper, Elliott, Bella and Emerson; great-grandchildren, Skarlett and Marshall; special friend, Douglas Cook; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, James Raymond Reeves; Tressie Esther Barton and Vernon F. Barton; sister, Edith McMullin; and brothers, Jim and Donnie Reeves.
Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the American Cancer Society or New Christian Fellowship Church, Mitchell, Illinois.
