Alexis was born March 29, 2002 in Salem. Alexis died August 24, 2013 in Newburg at the age of 11 years.
Survivors include her mother, Denise Henson and Leonard Melton, Newburg; grandparents, Paulette Berry, Viburnum; and Lloyd and Margie Henson, Gladden; great-grandmothers, Shirley Stulce, Davisville; and Jeanine Sena and husband, Victor, Oak Hurst, Calif.; great-grandfather, Paul Miranda, Sonora, Calif.; great-great-grandmother, Mary George, Oak Hurst, Calif.; brother, Mainard Henson, Newburg; stepbrothers, Riley Melton and Nathaniel Melton, Salem; step-sisters, Kasy Beaman and Aurora Melton, Salem; and a host of aunts; uncles; cousins; extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her father, Jason Henson; grandfather, Jeffrey Berry; great-grandfather, Robert Stulce; and other great-grandparents.
Alexis loved playing with her cats, painting, doing arts and crafts, being outside and hunting for rocks, arrowheads and seashells, riding four-wheelers and playing games and helping her grandma cook.
