Graveside service for Vearl “VC” Charles Counts will be at 2 p.m. September 27, 2025 at Blackwell Cemetery, with Military Honors. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Mortuary, Salem.
Mr. Counts died September 23, 2025 in Salem at the age of 88 years.
Survivors include his children, Melanie Flood and husband, Michael, Hurley; Brad Counts and wife, Delinda, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Melissa Ragsdale and husband, Ricky, Salem; sister, Melba Lee Pflueger, Florida; special friends, Treva Brown and Shirley Counts; nine grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; nephews, Salem Allen Pflueger and Russell Counts Pflueger and wife, Julia Harriss Pflueger; and a host of extended family and friends.
