Memorial service for Norman Gene Shorey was July 15, 2022 at James & Gahr Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Military Honors and Pastor Barry Baugh officiating. A eulogy was read by Joey Shorey.
Mr. Shorey was born January 24, 1947 in Westfir, Oregon, to Norman and Elizabeth (Finney) Shorey Taylor. He married Ingrid Lingscheit in 1979. Mr. Shorey died July 3, 2022 in Salem at the age of 75 years.
Survivors include his wife, Ingrid Shorey, Salem; children, Troy Shorey, Albany, Oregon; Brian Shorey and wife, Michelle, Happy Valley, Oregon; Derick Richardson, Rolla; siblings, Joey Shorey and wife, Cheryl, Salem; Judy Conn, Wasilla, Alaska; Jodi Powell, Springfield, Oregon; grandchildren, Kayleigh Ramey, Vanessa Shorey, Logan Shorey, Francesca Shorey, Matthew Stokes; great-grandchildren, Kaydence Ramey, Urijah Ramey; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and sisters, Betty Shorey and Terri Richardson.
Mr. Shorey served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.
