Funeral service for Marvin “Dean” Ragsdale Sr. was September 24, 2018 at Salem Christian Church, with Pastor Tim Hill officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary, Salem.
Music was provided by Dillon Hasten, Alec Biele and Eldon Thomas.
Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Nathaniel Ragsdale, Tyler Ragsdale, Alec Biele, Kyle Ragsdale, Nick Ragsdale and Dillon Hasten. Honorary pallbearers were Hayden Ragsdale, Trenton Ragsdale, Westyn Ragsdale, Brandon Biele, Eddie Ragsdale and Levi Lewis.
Mr. Ragsdale was born November 13, 1941 in Jadwin to Audrain and Clara Marie (Halbrook) Ragsdale Key. He married Ida Mae Henry. Mr. Ragsdale died September 20, 2018 in Salem at the age of 76 years.
Survivors include his wife, Ida Mae Ragsdale, Salem; children, Diana Hasten and husband, Corbin, Salem; Marvin Ragsdale Jr. and wife, Brenda, Salem; Ricky Ragsdale and wife, Melissa, Salem; Jimmy Ragsdale, Salem; Ginger Biele and husband, David, Salem; grandchildren, Amy, Dillon, Nathaniel, Steph, Levi, Whitney, Alec, Brandon, Tyler, Eddie, Kyle, Kendra, Kristen, Nick, Wyatt, Lane and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Trenton, Westyn, Bristol, Ayden, Colt, Cash, Olivia and Baby Williams.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughters, Darlene Mae Ragsdale and Dena Mae Ragsdale; brother, Clark Ragsdale; and sister, Marie Thomas.
Mr. Ragsdale was a member of Salem Christian Church.
