Funeral service for Jerry Dale Adkins Sr. was April 29, 2025 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Pastor Clay Harper officiating.
Mr. Adkins was born March 5, 1949 in Salem to Dee Lester and Dorothy (Malone) Adkins. He was the father of two children. Mr. Adkins died April 24, 2025 in Rolla at the age of 76 years.
Survivors include son, Jerry Adkins Jr. and Candace Chafton, Salem; sister, Wanda Hornbeck, Salem; grandchildren, Mackenzie Adkins, Sierra Jolly and husband, Anthony, Austin Vanmeter and wife, Jessica, Kayla Vanmeter, and Sabrina Vanmeter; great-grandchildren, Eli, Ivy, Mya, Tyler, Noah, Jimmy, and Beau; daughters-in-love, Sara Jones and husband, Michael, and Stacey Jessen and Justin Neumeier; nieces, Amanda Chafton and husband, Joey, and Cassie Blankenship and husband, David; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his daughter, Leslie Vanmeter; parents; infant brothers, Harold and David Adkins; and brother-in-law, Bill Hornbeck.
