Funeral service for Charles Wesley “Charlie” Jones was August 21, 2016 at Viburnum Freewill Baptist Church with Bro. Dalton Harper and Bro. Derrick Meek officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary, Viburnum.
Music was provided by Kim Abney, Kevin Abney and Johnny Setzer.
Mr. Jones was born November 30, 1944 to Jack and Mary (Russell) Jones in Winston Salem, N.C. He married Juanita Brendle September 12, 1964. Mr. Jones died August 17, 2016 in Viburnum at the age of 71 years.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Jones, Viburnum; children, Karl Jones and wife, Krystal, Davisville; Karen Kuykendall and husband, Richard, Black; Kimberly Reed and husband, Dwight, Viburnum; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Russell Jones, Jack Jones Jr.; sister, Jean Hutcherson; and granddaughter, Casey Davis.
Mr. Jones was a member of Viburnum Freewill Baptist Church.
