Mr. Prugh was born September 15, 1945 in rural Dent County to Henry and Bertha (Ludwig) Prugh. He married Jewell Griffith February 14, 1969. Mr. Prugh died September 22, 2022 in Salem at the age of 77 years.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell, Salem; brothers-in-law, Bud Griffith and wife, Donna, Salem; and Ken Lanham and wife, Sandy; sister-in-law, Ruth Johnson; nieces and nephews, Judy Rodriguez, Cheryl Davis, Cammie Morrison, Terri Prugh, Melanie Prugh; Kevin Prugh, Rick Prugh, Brian Griffith; Angie Baker, Kris Johnson, Darcy Wilding, Kara Lanham, Joe Lanham, Larry Lanham, Linda Franz, Brenda Brotherton, Darold Lanham, Jimmy Lanham, Juanita May, Scott Lanham, Jeff Lanham, Kim Mead and Kelly Ramsey; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Bill and Richard Prugh; and sister, Pat Baum.
