Funeral service for Opal Esther Richardson was May 16, 2025 at McSpadden Funeral Home, Bunker, with Pastor Serenia Sutton officiating and assisted by Pastor Ahleesha Elwood.
Interment was in the Polk Memorial Cemetery, Ellington.
Mrs. Richardson was born January 19, 1936 in Monroe, Tennessee, to Johnny Jackson and Bithie (Phillips) Conner. She married Dillard “Dexter” Richardson October 4, 1952. They were the parents of seven children. Mrs. Richardson died May 10, 2025 in Bunker at the age of 89 years.
Survivors include her husband, Dexter Richardson, Bunker; sons, Dwain Richardson and wife, Debbie, Bunker; and Scott Richardson and wife, Angel, Bunker; daughters, Shirley Miller, state of Ohio; Denise Gean and husband, John, state of Texas; Donna Stevens and husband, Mike, Bunker; and Serenia Sutton and husband, Don, Moorea, French Polynesia; brothers, Cecil Conner, Monroe, Tennessee; Bob Conner, Gamaliel, Kentucky; and Steve Conner, Marshville, Ohio; sister, Charlotte Moore, Corning, California; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Larry Conner; and sisters, Geneva Staggs; and Winnie Ann Daily.
