Funeral service for Cecil LeRoy Hockett was November 12, 2015 at James & Gahr Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating.
Interment was in the North Lawn Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
Pallbearers were Danny Black, Dave Groves, Mike Bequette, Ron Caraway, Nolan Connell and Kenny Wells. Honorary pallbearers were Kenny Hockett, Matthew Claypool, Christopher Claypool and Wyatt Parks.
Mr. Hockett was born September 7, 1927 in Okeene, Okla., to Albert Nathan and Delilah Lanora (Newman) Hockett. He married Gloria Joy Culp in May 1963. They were the parents of four children. Mr. Hockett died November 7, 2015 at the age of 88 years.
Survivors include his children, Albert Hockett and wife, Lisa, Rolla; Ronnie Hockett, California; Bill Hockett, California; Lisa Claypool and husband, James, Rolla; brothers, Troy Hockett and wife, Wanda, Oklahoma; Chet Hockett, Kansas; Jim Hockett and wife, Bernetta, California; sisters, Moetta Alexander, Oklahoma; Alice Schmitt and husband, Ed, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces; nephews; extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and wife.
Mr. Hockett served in World War II in the United States Navy.
