Funeral service for June Lavada (Cover) Brooks was September 29, 2025 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Pastor Frank Brooks and Pastor Elvie Hedrick officiating.
Music was provided by pianist Landra Miller and soloist Jim Pryor.
Interment was in Boss Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Chris Robbins, Cody Light, Dawson Paul, Shannon Miller, Brad Land, and Lee Allen Miller. Honorary pallbearers were Dustin Brooks, Jacob Brooks, Ron Light, and Emmett Robbins.
Mrs. Brooks was born June 10, 1932 in Boss to Frank and Bertha (Short) Cover. She married Noel Brooks September 18, 1948. They were the parents of four children. Mrs. Brooks died September 23, 2025 in Salem at the age of 93 years.
Survivors include her children, Rick Brooks, Raytown; Dawn Paul, Salem; Beth Light and husband, Ron, Salem; and Frank Brooks and wife, Melissa, Bourbon; sister, Edith Faulkner, Boss; grandchildren, Heather Paul and wife, Tonya; Dustin Brooks and husband, Thad; April Hurd; Brittany Robbins and husband, Chris; Jacob Brooks and wife, Jessica; and Dakota Light and wife, Briana; great-grandchildren, Dawson and wife, Bethany, Logan, Rylee, and Emmett; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; and 14 siblings.
