Funeral service for Mackenzie Brooke Miller and Adam Scott
Miller was October 22, 2011 at New Harmony Church, Salem, with Bro.
David Gidcumb officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of
Wilson Mortuary, Salem. Special remarks were made by Sheila Dodson
and Sarah Mohler.
Music was provided by Michelle Gidcumb.
Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers for Mackenzie were Devon Sutterfield, Justin Moore,
Tyler Wofford, Cody Wofford, Ben Adams and Curt May. Pallbearers
for Adam were Scott Dodson, Darwin Flaherty, Aaron Hodges, Logan
Woolf, Connor Quick and Darrell Bundy. Honorary pallbearers were
Jeremy Brown, Cody Ard, Jon Kerr, Kris Schafer, Cameron Howard and
Derek McClain.
Mackenzie was born March 6, 1994 in Houston. Adam was born July
3, 1997 in Salem. Mackenzie, 17, and Adam, 14, died October 17,
2011 in Salem.
Survivors include their parents, Shelly Kerr and husband, Jack,
Salem; and Brian Miller and friend, Angel Murr, Salem;
grandparents, Marion Dodson, Reed Springs; and Teddy and Patricia
Miller, St. Louis; step-grandparents, Noal and Bonnie Kerr, Salem;
great-grandma, Vinita Edwards, Salem; sister, Grace Jasmaj Kerr,
Salem; step-brother, Jon Kerr, Washington; step-sister, Ashley
Kerr, Joplin; aunts, Michelle Miller, St. Louis; Sheila Dodson,
Festus; Sarah Mohler and husband, Buddy, Spokane; uncle, Scott
Dodson, Reed Springs; and a host of extended family and
friends.
Preceding them in death were their grandmother, Judith Dodson;
great-grandparents, Bill Edwards, Rufus and Gladys Dodson; and Bob
and Dorothy Wilson; and cousin, Roman Chambers.
Mackenzie was a car-hop at Sonic. She enjoyed movies, music,
four-wheeling, water recreation, the outdoors and shopping.
Adam enjoyed motorcycles, four-wheeling, target shooting, remote
control cars and fishing.
