Mrs. Allen was born August 31, 1931 in Stone Hill to James Frank and Lottie Idell (Turner) Russell. She married Kermit Allen June 14, 1952. They were the parents of two daughters. Mrs. Allen died July 29, 2017 in Rolla at the age of 85 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen Allen, Rolla; and Kathy Dunlap, Hot Springs Village, Ark.; brother, Ronnie Russell, Fayetteville, Ark.; sister, Louise Stewart, Bunker; grandchildren, Darrin Limbaugh, Lorri Thurman, Gregory Dunlap, Lyndsey Tate, Megan Spradlin; great-grandchildren, Isaac Limbaugh, Jaxon Bull, Jaden Thurman, Cossette Tate; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; brother, Gilbert Russell; sisters, Bertha Schmeers, Wilma Anderson and Verda May Pewitt.
Mrs. Allen was a member of the First Christian Church, Salem.
