Funeral service for William Dexter Worthy Atteberry was March 19, 2015 at Dent County Memorial Chapel, Salem, with J.J. Tune officiating.

Mr. Atteberry was born January 14, 1938 in St. Louis to Harry Worthy and Mary Ellen (Stauffer) Atteberry. He married Hazel Lybarger April 25, 1958. They were the parents of six children. Mr. Atteberry died March 14, 2015 in Jadwin at the age of 77 years.
Survivors include his wife, Hazel Atteberry, Jadwin; children, Melody Dziurowitz and husband, Heinz, Wood River, Ill.; William Atteberry and wife, Janice, Belleville, Ill.; Michael Atteberry and wife, Dawn, Broken Arrow, Okla.; Theresa Taylor, Jadwin; Tara Mazzanti, South Haven, Miss.; Melvin Atteberry and wife, Kelly, Mokane; sister, Cheryl Roles, Augusta, Kan.; 28 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces; nephews; extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; brothers, Mervin and Clarence; and sister, Edith.
Mr. Atteberry served in the United States Army.
