Funeral service for Barbara Joyce (Atkinson) White was August 18, 2025 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Pastor Don Carson officiating. A eulogy was shared by Whitney Sutterfield.
Interment will be in Blackwell Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Justin Sybert, Brayden Moncrief, Carlin Sybert, Paxton Yowell, Wilson Giacomelli, and Deacon Sybert.
Mrs. White was born February 26, 1934 in Plattsmouth, Nebraska, to John Coy Sr. and Lena Marie (Grauf) Atkinson. She married Harold Eugene White March 6, 1954. They were the parents of two daughters. Mrs. White died August 13, 2025 in St. James at the age of 91 years.
Survivors include her daughters, Deb Burnett and husband, Marc, St. James; Sherry Wilson and husband, Eddie, Salem; grandchildren, Justin Sybert and wife, Cheryl, St. James; Nikki O’Connell and husband, Matt, Climax Springs; Kristy Giacomelli, Rolla; Kerri Sybert and husband, BJ, St. James; Kit Jansen, Jacksonville, Florida; Kelly Burnett and husband, Rod Williams, St. Louis; Tessa Witmer and husband, Sten, Bozeman, Montana; Darcy Burnett, Rolla; great-grandchildren, Whitney, Molly, Deacon, Brayden, Paxton, Avery, Reed, Wilson, Carlin, Myla, Davon, Danielle, Nathanielle, Hannah, Henry, Willa, Woody, Ava, and Cady; great-great-grandchildren, Tide, Briar, Greyson, and Roman; extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; and siblings, Gertrude, Jan, John, and Ron.
