Funeral service for Wilma Dessie Irene Chandler was February 9, 2011 at DeClue Family Funeral Home, Potosi, with Rev. Jerry Alcorn officiating.
Interment was in the Boss Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Leonard Nash, Michael Hoppe, Randy Hoppe, Rick Duckworth, Devin Duckworth, Ryan Duckworth, Billy Crane and Erik Ray.
Mrs. Chandler was born July 2, 1921 in Salem to Richard and Minnie (Gibson) Short. Mrs. Chandler died February 5, 2011 in Parsons, Kan., at the age of 89 years, seven months and three days.
Survivors include her children, Leona Snavely and husband, Dennis; Eileen Chandler, all of Mound Valley, Kan.; Lorraine Pugh and husband, Don, Arlington, Texas; Eddie Chandler and wife, Ruth, Doe Run; and Michael Chandler; brother, Emmett Short and wife, Frances, Mineral Point; 20 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Darrell Chandler; daughter, Marietta Chandler; three sons, Richard Chandler, Jesse Chandler and Jimmy Chandler; one grandson, Rocky Duckworth; and one great-granddaughter, Kelsey Ray.
