Funeral service for William “Bill” Stark Sr. was March 3, 2018 at James & Gahr Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Pastor Charles Younger officiating.
Interment was in the North Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Charlie Gallagher, Jonithan Gallagher, Nathan Gallagher, Cecil Broomfield, Jeffery Broomfield, Shawn Stark. Honorary pallbearers were Chad Broomfield, Jeremy Starkey.
Mr. Stark was born January 18, 1928 in Boss to Robert Lee and Rosa Ellen (Miner) Stark. He married Alice Diegel July 3, 1953. They were the parents of one son. Mr. Stark died February 26, 2018 at the age of 90 years.
Survivors include his wife, Alice Stark, Salem; son, William Stark Jr. and wife, Teresa, Salem; sisters, Francis Whitt, Fresno, California; Violet Whelan, Salem; grandchildren, Alisha, Jennifer, Holly, Sylvia, Shawn; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; sisters, Helen Stark, Bernice Metz; brother, Lloyd Wofford; granddaughter, Jacqueline Stark.
