A memorial gathering for Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Steelman and Kathryn Margaret Ann Steelman was August 14, 2024 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem.
Mr. Steelman was born January 25, 1943 in Salem to Clint and Alice (Nivens) Steelman. He died August 8, 2024 in Salem at the age of 81 years. Mrs. Steelman was born June 5, 1946 in Jadwin to Bailey and Elsie (Jones) Nelson. She died March 17, 2019, in Rolla, at the age of 72. Mr. and Mrs. Steelman were married July 10, 1965. They were the parents of two children.
Survivors include their son, Roy Steelman; daughter, Lori Plank and husband, Steve; grandchildren, Zach Plank and wife, Sarah; Tyler Steelman and wife, Josie; Shauna Steelman; Shala Shepherd and husband, Zach; and Angel Steelman, all of Salem; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Mr. Steelman is also survived by his sister, Fay Stoll, St. Louis; cousin like a brother, Larry Steelman, Salem. Mrs. Steelman is survived by her sister, Fern Knueven, Salem.
Preceding Ronnie in death were his wife; parents; and siblings, Carl Steelman, Rita Quinn, Judy Meade and Donna Dominique.
Preceding Kathryn in death were her parents; brothers, William “Bill” Nelson, Marvin B. Nelson and Kenneth Nelson; and sisters, Louise Norma O’Neil and Elma Margaret McDonald.
