Funeral service for Larry L. Cape, of Salem, Ill., and formerly of Salem, was April 14, 2012 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Marshall Wayne Hagler officiating.
Music was provided by Byron and Kristi Craig.
Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Freddie, Michael and Jimmy Hagler, Curtis Bottorff, Harold Fiebelman and Byron Craig.
Mr. Cape was born May 24, 1940 in Salem to Doyle and Dolly M. (Hagler) Cape. He married Janice M. Keithly September 3, 1960. Mr. Cape died April 8, 2012 in Mt. Vernon, Ill., at the age of 71 years.
Survivors include three sons, Larry Don Cape and wife, Katie, Wichita, Kan.; David Cape and wife, RaeAnn, Salem, Ill.; and Johnny Cape, Salem, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Nicholas, Amanda, Roger, Brittini, Jamie, Kristina, Ryan, Teyah and Jacob; and four great-grandchildren, Brookelynn, Taylor, Hailey and Samuel.
Preceding him in death were his wife; parents; step-father; and half-brother, Dennis Pepmiller.
Mr. Cape retired from management at Brown Shoe Co., Salem. He was a member of Ainad Shrine, E. St. Louis; Valley of Scottish Rite; Marion Masonic Lodge #130, Salem.
