Carmen Lee Berra was born September 24, 1925 in Howes Mill to Ernest and Barbara Short. She married Lawrence “Yogi” Berra. Mrs. Berra died March 6, 2014 in Montclair, N.J., at the age of 88 years.

Survivors include her three sisters, Nadine Palermo, Bonnie Morse and Mary Lou Nichoalds; three sons, Larry; Tim and wife, Betsy; and Dale and wife, Jane; and 11 grandchildren, all of Montclair.
