Funeral service for Virginia Mae (Boyer) Douglas was June 26, 2020 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Billy Miller officiating.
Interment was in the North Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dereck Roam, Mathen Givens, Matthew Givens, Tyler Givens, Samantha Givens and Isaac Stogsdill. Honorary pallbearers were Letisha Briggs and Jessica Givens Bartlett.
Mrs. Douglas was born August 28, 1931 in Ellsinore to Floyd and Delia (Norman) Boyer. She was the mother of six children. Mrs. Douglas died June 23, 2020 in Rolla at the age of 88 years.
Survivors include her children, Floyd Carter Jr., Salem; Albert Carter and wife, Mary, Salem; Arthur “Buster” Givens and wife, Karen, Salem; Reldon Givens and wife, Vickey, Portageville; William Voyles Jr. and wife, Cindy, Salem; and Anisa Vannatta and husband, Jason, St. James; brother, Clyde Boyer, Caseyville, Illinois; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Ace and Burton Boyer; and grandson, Albert Carter.
Mrs. Douglas was a member of the New Home Baptist Church.
