She was born Charlene Ann Bothe in Carlsbad, New Mexico on July 21, 1949.
Charlene is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Fulton; daughter, Shannon Fulton; and son, Travis Fulton and wife, Barbie, and their children, Travis Jr., Addison, Jesse, Taylor and Olivia, all of Salem, Missouri. She is also survived by her mother, Evelyn Malott, Salem, Missouri; sister, Debbie Petrigac and husband, Jimmy, Dayton, Tennessee; brother, Tommy Malott and his wife, Leta, Doniphan, Missouri; sister, Trina Straub and husband, Bob, Salem, Missouri; sister-in-law, Jo Merritt, Salem, Missouri; brother-in-law, Paul Fulton and wife, Violet, Salem, Missouri; and a host of nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
Charlene was a retired nurse of 25 years from Salem Memorial District Hospital. She was an extremely talented artist and loved learning. She was a student of the Bible and spent untold hours studying the word of God. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and was an avid reader, and especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a refreshing ray of sunshine in this world and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her, until we are reunited.
Charlene had requested that no public funeral services be held. There will be a private celebration of life memorial with family and friends at a later date.
