Funeral service for Michael James "PoPo" Pittman was January 21, 2019 at James & Gahr Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Shannon Lambert officiating.
Interment was in Morrison Cemetery, Salem.
Pallbearers were Joel Laney, Jeff Brooks, Jarrod Brooks, Caleb Shepherd, Tim Skaggs, and Joe Laney. Honorary pallbearers were Brittany Shepherd, Emma Laney, Becki Skaggs, Teresa Skaggs, and Rob Skaggs.
Mr. Pittman was born December 9, 1948 in St. Louis to Ray and Fern (Loughridge) Pittman. He married Mary Malone October 6, 1979. They were the parents of one daughter. Mr. Pittman died January 16, 2019 at the age of 70 years.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Pittman, Salem; daughter, Becky Laney and husband, Joe, Rolla; sister, Sandra Skaggs and husband, Larry, Morrison; grandchildren, Brittany Shepherd and husband, Caleb; Joel Laney and Emma Laney; and great-grandchildren, Titan Shepherd and Isaiah Shepherd.
Mr. Pittman proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked for the Salem Memorial District Hospital in Medical Records for 39 years.
