Funeral service for Richard Jackson was June 4, 2020 at James & Gahr Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Bro. Jim Privett officiating.
Interment was in the Jadwin Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dwayne Heiligtag, Steven Presley, Charles Presley, Tony Jacobs, Ricky Rorie and Christopher Landis. Honorary pallbearers were Stanley McElfresh, Doyle Lakes and Dennis Purcell.
Mr. Jackson was born August 9, 1935 in Maplewood to Fred and Estelle (Roader) Jackson. He married Venida Harris August 9, 1952. They were the parents of eight children. Mr. Jackson died May 30, 2020 in Salem at the age of 84 years.
Survivors include his wife, Venida Jackson, Salem; daughters, Rusty Carroll, Jadwin; Cindy Johns and husband, Mike, Hillsboro; Carol Jackson, House Springs; Loretta English, Jadwin; Nina Cole and Tony Jacobs, St. Louis; Margaret Salgado and husband, Al, Branson; and son, Rick Jackson and wife, Cindy, Festus; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughter, Bonnie Jackson; granddaughter, Dawn Presley.
Mr. Jackson attended Gladden Baptist Church.
