Billy “Bill” Charles Mead, son of the late Defoe Warden Mead and Beulah Mae (Etter) Mead, was born in Continental, Ohio, on October 18, 1941. He departed this life in Rolla, Missouri, on October 4, 2025, at the age of 83.
In February 1964 in Kalida, Ohio, Bill was united in marriage to Ann Elizabeth Reynolds and to this loving union one son was born. Bill was a member of the Hopewell Masonic Lodge #239 in Lesterville, Missouri. He enjoyed rifle and bow hunting, fishing, camping, and taking care of the farm. Bill’s greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jack and Bob Mead, and one great-grandson, Dallas Rowley.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ann Mead of Salem, Missouri, his son, Todd Mead and wife Sherry of Bunker, Missouri, two grandchildren, Jeremiah Mehrhoff of Branson, Missouri, Dawn Nall and husband Rickie of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, seven grandchildren, Sandy Rowley, Ellison, Griffin and Dallynn Mehrhoff all of Branson, Missouri, and Zackory and Necole Nall of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri. Bill will be deeply missed by his family and friends who will mourn his passing.
Visitation was Thursday, October 9, 2025, 10 AM – 12:30 PM at McSpadden Funeral Home, Bunker, Missouri.
Masonic Service was at 12:30 PM.
