Funeral service for Montie Ray Asher was March 10, 2017 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Viburnum, with Bro. Paul Davis officiating.
Music was provided by Jim Pryor and Pam Davis.
Interment was in the Trolinger Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Scott Nelson, Henry Asher, Gary Asher, Jeff Asher, Randy Asher, Nathan Asher and Josh Campbell. Honorary pallbearers were Kenneth Asher, Ronnie Martin and Kenny Martin.
Mr. Asher was born April 6, 1938 in Bixby to Henry Preston and Girtie Luvinia (Stricklin) Asher. He married Linda Lou Nelson April 2, 1960. Mr. Asher died March 5, 2017 in Potosi at the age of 78 years.
Survivors include his brothers, Jackson Asher and wife, Ruth, St. James; Emmett Asher, Bixby; and Vernon Asher and wife, Mary Lou, Caledonia; sisters, Vernie Asher, Bixby; Goldie Keister, Des Arc; and Helen Walz, Viburnum; brother-in-law, Charles Nelson and wife, Sue, Las Vegas, Nev.; sister-in-law, Alma Gantney, St. Charles; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Linda Lou Asher; sisters, Della Walker, Mabel Asher; brother, Herman Asher and six infant siblings.
