Funeral service for Judy Ann Meekins was August 28, 2014 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Pastor Doug Walter officiating.

Interment will be in the Bethal Cemetery, Eunice, at a later date.
Mrs. Meekins was born May 25, 1945 in Hartshorn to George and Virginia (Lewis) Brown. Mrs. Meekins died August 23, 2014 in Salem at the age of 69 years.
Survivors include her children, Tina Meekins and Christine Spurgin, both of California; Jeff Toronto, Connecticut; Robert Spurgin, St. Ann; and Michelle Spurgin, Salem; brothers, Earl, Everett, Norman, Lonnie, Stanley and Clifford Brown; sisters, Thelma Briggs, Betty Curry and Fern Brown; grandchildren, Crystal Bauer, Randy Figgins, Robbie Spurgin, Kaley Spurgin, Nicole Toronto and Angel Spurgin; great-grandchildren, Gage and Bailyn; and a host of nieces; nephews; extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and brother, Ervin Brown.
Mrs. Meekins was an avid acrylic artist and was a member of the Dent County Arts and Crafts Guild. She attended Salem United Methodist Church.
