Funeral service for Maudelean Briggs Purcell was November 4, 2022 at James & Gahr Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Rick Mansfield officiating.
Interment was in the Akers Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Kevin Purcell, Lee Houck, Jonathan Stewart, Joshua Maggard, Alex Maggard and Ervin Taylor. Honorary pallbearers were Richard Purcell, Rick Purcell and John Stewart.
Mrs. Purcell was born April 7, 1933 in Hartshorn to George and Carrie Briggs. She married Jimmy Clark Purcell July 20, 1959. They were the parents of one son. Mrs. Purcell died November 1, 2022 in Salem at the age of 89 years.
Survivors include her son, Kevin Purcell, Akers; grandson, Josh Hoff, St. Peters; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband; grandson, Kevin; parents; siblings, Wave, Rose, Thelma, Geraldine, Arnold, Vernon, Lloyd, Wayne, twins, Audrey and Aubrey; and in-laws, Elmer and Hattie Purcell.
