Funeral service for Vardel Ray Wisdom, of Boss, was March 6, 2025 at Macedonia United Baptist Church, Boss, with Pastor Heath Garrison officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary, Salem.
Interment was in the Boss Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Teel Wisdom, Heath Garrison, Brad Jackson, and his great-grandchildren, Kaden, Kallen, Kohen, Reed, and Kynlee.
Mr. Wisdom was born March 27, 1934 in Boss to Gurney and Lola (Clements) Wisdom. He married Yvonnie “Virginia” Inman March 23, 1956. They were the parents of one son. Mr. Wisdom died March 1, 2025 in Salem at the age of 90 years.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Wisdom, Boss; son, Vince Wisdom and wife, Cindy, Boss; grandchildren, Aimee Garrison and husband, Heath, Boss; and Teel Wisdom and wife, Richelle, Salem; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Kallen, Kohen, Kynlee, and Reed; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and brother, Kelzie Wisdom.
