Graveside service for Verna Ueldine Plank Cope Bullock was February 7, 2025 at North Lawn Cemetery, with Pastor Craig Wiles officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary, Salem.
Pallbearers were Anthony Shomshor, Jason Medlock, Bob Cope II, and Tresa Pratt.
Mrs. Bullock was born August 22, 1935 in Madison, Illinois to Harry Vernon and Sylvia Ella (Lancaster) Plank. She married Bob Cope. They were the parents of three children. Later she married Jack Bullock. Mrs. Bullock died February 3, 2025 in Salem at the age of 89 years.
Survivors include her children, Rita Jo Medlock, Sylvia “Sybe” Shomshor (Tresa Pratt) and Bobby Joe Cope II; grandsons, Jason Medlock and Anthony Shomshor; great-grandchildren, Bryce, Ryker, and Tarryn, Plank children brothers, Don, Haden (Mary Lou), Carl, Gary (Carol), and Richard (Carol); brothers-in-law, Irvin Cooksey, Ralph Kelley, and Steve Ladd; sister-in-law, Linda Plank; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her first husband, Bob Cope I; second husband, Jack Bullock; parents; and many of her siblings.
