Funeral service for Farrell Eugene Southards was September 2, 2021 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Dennis Crocker officiating and David reading the obituary.
Interment was in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery with Full Military Honors was provided by the American Legion Post 99 and United States Army.
Pallbearers were Jacob Fisher, Isaiah Fisher, Jim Standfast, David Biele, Terry Berry and Wayne Southards. Honorary pallbearers were Leland Ellerman, Elva Gorman and Kenny Star.
Mr. Southards was born August 8, 1953 in Rolla to Samuel Dee and Virginia (Berry) Southards. He married Lori Ann Abt January 16, 2003. He was the father of three children that he shared with Sherry Biggs. Once he married Lori he gained three daughters. Mr. Southards died August 29, 2021 in Salem at the age of 68 years.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Southards, Salem; children, Melanie Flett and husband, Scott, Rolla; Jimmy Southards and wife, Tammy, Rolla; and Harold Dee Southards, Salem; stepchildren, Amber Hammack and husband, David, Massachusetts; Michelle Nelson, Salem; and Sandra Nelson and significant other, Andrew Gundel, Seligman; grandchildren, Jacob, Isaiah, Chelsea, Samuel, Christabel, Carter, Krista, Landon, Luke, Savannah, Aryssa, Ellie, Emma, and one on-the-way; great-grandchildren, Cass, Sutton and Keziah on-the-way; great-aunts, Elnora Southards and Bonnie Berry; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents; infant brother, Howard Wayne Southards; and great-uncle, Martin Lee Southards.
He served in the United States Army.
