Funeral service for Shirley D. Huitt was June 11, 2014 at Salem Christian Church, Salem, with Tim Hill and Jay Tune officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Dent County Memorial Chapel, Salem.
Music was provided by Carol Carmack and Andy Huitt.
Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Carl Lucas, Daniel Lucas, Ed Carmack, Dan Keene, Gary Doyle and Jarred Jackson.
Mrs. Huitt was born September 25, 1961 in Jennersville, Pa., to Carl and Jane (Sprouse) Lucas. She married Mark Huitt October 29, 1983. They were the parents of two children. Mrs. Huitt died June 5, 2014 at the age of 52 years.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Huitt, Salem; children, Andy Huitt, Springfield; and Amy Huitt, Joplin; parents, Carl Lucas and wife, Jane, Aberdeen, Md.; sister, Mary Jane Silver and husband, Frank, Havre de Grace, Md.; brothers, Carl Lucas and wife, Tammy, Bel Air, Md.; and Daniel Lucas and wife, Debbie, Ocala, Fla.
Preceding her in death were her grandparents; three uncles; and one aunt.
Mrs. Huitt was a member of the Salem Christian Church.
