Funeral service for Donna Kay (Major) Nelson was June 9, 2025 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Pastor Terry Davis officiating.
Interment was in the North Lawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Evan Bacon, Logan Bacon, Tyler Nelson, Kolby Rouse, Olivia Nelson, Jason Connell, and John Renfro.
Mrs. Nelson was born April 12, 1950 in Salem to Glen and Verna (Pyatt) Major. She married Ivan Nelson February 24, 1968. They were the parents of four children. Mrs. Nelson died June 4, 2025 in Salem at the age of 75 years.
Survivors include her husband, Ivan Nelson, Salem; children, Gary Nelson, Moberly; Karen Connell and husband, Jason, Ashland; Amanda Renfro and husband, John, Rolla; and Matthew Nelson and wife, Sara Cooper Nelson, Rocheport; grandchildren, Evan, Logan, Olivia, Tyler, and Kolby; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and siblings, James Major, Darrell Major, Dorlene Blankenship, and Rita Melton.
