Funeral service for Shirley May (Wood) Wofford was March 29, 2025 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Ron Norris officiating.
Music was provided by Janet Ellis and recorded selections.
Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tyler Wofford, Cody Wofford, Larry Gibbs, Jason Parker, Don Norris, and Chris Puff. Honorary pallbearers were Lawrence Smith, Jim Wood, Mike Wood, Joe Stevens, Rick Stevens, and George Stevens.
Mrs. Wofford was born May 13, 1936 in Round Spring to Henry and Sarah (Thomas) Wood. She married Charles Eugene “Stoney” Wofford October 30, 1953. They were the parents of one son. Mrs. Wofford died March 22, 2025 in Rolla at the age of 88 years.
Survivors include her son, Steve Wofford and wife, Sandra, Salem; sisters, Thelema Lee Anderson, Oklahoma; and Jeanie Bowen, Salem; grandsons, Cody Wofford and wife, Bailey; and Tyler Wofford and wife, Kamber, all of Lenox; great-grandchildren, Buxton, Collins, Camden, and Cohen; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; brothers, Earl, Emmett, Glen, Ralph, Lloyd, and Dorman Wood; and sisters, Opal Parker, Elsie Ellis, and Eula Smith.
