Funeral service for Joyce Yvonne (Lawson) Bays was September 23, 2025 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Viburnum, with Pastor Paul Davis officiating.
Interment was in the Upper Indian Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ryan Cole, Tyler Bays, Kyle Douglas, Dennis Bays, David Cole, and Donald Lawson. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Lawson, Xander Douglas, Hudson Cole, and Everett Cole.
Mrs. Bays was born September 3, 1941 in Leadington to Vernal and Leta (Stricklin) Lawson. She married Glen Lavern Bays September 26, 1958. They were the parents of two children. Mrs. Bays died September 17, 2025 in Farmington at the age of 84 years.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Bays and wife, Cheryl, Farmington; daughter, Debra Cole and husband, David, Labadie; brothers, Jack Lawson and wife, Frances; and Donald Lawson and wife, Vicki; grandchildren, Erin Douglas and husband, Kyle; Ryan Cole and wife, Nichole; and Tyler Bays and wife, Sara; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Xander, Everett, and Hudson; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband; parents; sister, Sharon Lawson; and brothers, Vernon, David, and Ronald Lawson.
