Funeral service for Douglas Eugene Swearengin was October 16, 2013 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Bro. Gary Chilton and Bro. Ray Thurman officiating.

Interment was in the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Brad Blackwell, Tommy McDaniel, David Hogan, Ronnie Terrill Jr., Mike Hill and Derrick Medley. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Todd and Randy Meulenburg.
Mr. Swearengin was born February 24, 1956 in Yakima, Wash., to Orville Eugene and Pauline Ceola (Hawkins) Swearengin. He was the father of three children. Mr. Swearengin died October 12, 2013 in St. Louis at the age of 57 years.
Survivors include his parents, Orville and Pauline Swearengin; children, Monica Swearengin, Camdenton; Carrie Blackwell and husband, Brad, Salem; Jeremy Swearengin, Salem; sisters, Beulah Chilton and husband, Gary, Salem; Karen Hogan and husband, David, Salem; and Pam Todd and husband, Jack, Salem; grandchildren, Morgan, Kylie, Peyton and Sidney; mothers of his children, Sherry Davis and Geneva Swearengin; and a host of nieces; nephews.
Preceding him in death were his brother, Dallas Swearengin; grandparents, Earl and Muzie Hawkins and Lora and Cordilla Swearengin.
