Funeral service for Lena Mae Wells was January 15, 2014 at Wilson Mortuary Chapel, Salem, with Bro. Terry Sharpe officiating.

Interment was in the Miner Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Kevin Green, Keith Green, James Wood, Jesse Wells, Rusty Wells, Eric Lewis and Gary Skaggs.
Mrs. Wells was born November 5, 1928 in St. Louis to Jesse and Lona (Akins) Bounds. She married Doyle Edward Wells August 2, 1947. She was the mother of four children. Mrs. Wells died January 12, 2014 in Salem at the age of 85 years.
Survivors include her children, Patsy Nath, Salem; Elaine Stricklin and husband, Steve, Salem; Doris Skaggs and husband, Danny, Bunker; and Gary Wells and wife, Robin, Salem; sisters, Mildred Crain, Salem; and Lorene Lanham, Bunker; grandchildren, Sherri Parks and husband, Gary, Salem; Kevin Green, Salem; Keith Green, Salem; James Wood, Republic; Tricia Manson and husband, Mark, Salem; Jesse Wells and wife, Vanessa, Republic; Rusty Wells, Salem; Eric Lewis and wife, Megan, Jefferson City; Jennifer Smith and husband, Bradley, Salem; Gary Skaggs and wife, Shelley, Bunker; Rachel Gore and husband, Garrett, Ellington; and Hannah Skaggs and fiancée, Max Ball, Salem; step grandchildren, Travis Stricklin and wife, Whitney, Springfield; and Brad Stricklin and wife, Erin, Bunker; 21 great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; brothers, Raymond Swiney, George Swiney and Gene Bounds.
Mrs. Wells was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and a charter member of Ohlman Missionary Baptist Church.
