A celebration of life for Dr. John Michael Gover will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson Mortuary, Salem.
Dr. Gover was born July 31, 1958 in Mattoon, Illinois, to James and Yvonne Gover. He married Patrice Taylor in 1980. They were the parents of two sons. Dr. Gover died July 17, 2019 at the age of 60 years.
Survivors include his wife, Patrice Gover; sons, Nicholas Gover and wife, Laci, Anutt; and Daniel Gover, Belleville; grandsons, Bradlee, Tobey, Jacob and Chase Gover, all of Salem; brother, Bill Gover and wife, Annette, Vero Beach, Florida; sister, Katie Gover, Naples, Florida; parents, Dr. Jim Gover, Naples; and Yvonne Warren, Ft. Myers, Florida; and a host of extended family and friends.
Dr. Gover graduated dental school in 1994 and worked awhile with his friend, Dr. Ted Ziske, before opening his own office.
