Memorial service for William “Burnie” Burnice McLaurin Jr. was April 22, 2023 at First Baptist Church, Salem, with Pastor Joel Hayworth and Minister David Hancock officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Wilson Mortuary, Salem.
Mr. McLaurin was born December 8, 1942 in Cross Creek, North Carolina, to William Burnice Sr. and Ruby (Tew) McLaurin. He married Deborah Stever April 26, 1974. Their combined family consisted of three children. Mr. McLaurin died April 18, 2023 at the age of 80 years.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah McLaurin, Salem; children, Cord McLaurin and wife, Pam, Ironton; Paige Prusuhn, Bonne Terre; and Chad McLaurin, Columbia; sister, Amy Rogers, Fayetteville, North Carolina; grandchildren, Jordan McLaurin, Salem; Callie McLaurin, Ironton; Brittany Tripp, Bonne Terre; Angie Turner, Crestwood; Cassie Mough, Springfield; Serena McLaurin, Spokane, Washington; Aiden McLaurin, stationed in Japan; and a host of extended family and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Jerry McLaurin.
