Riverways Federal Credit Union was recently awarded The Louise Herring Philosophy in Action Award by the Credit Union National Association at the state level for their IMPACT Program. This award recognizes credit union activities demonstrating the credit union philosophy of “People-Helping-People”. It has now gone on to the national level to compete against other credit unions across the country.
The IMPACT Program is a budget and credit improvement program that helps members make the most of their finances. Many participants, because of the IMPACT Program have been able to become first time home buyers, find extra cash flow, purchase auto’s and find peace of mind by lessening the financial stress in their lives. An achievement that if they had not enrolled and worked hard for may never became a reality.
